Thursday, January 24, 2012, is our weekly focus on The Middle East. The past week has been chock full of events that have ramifications that impress international sensibilities. We will delve into the continuing Syrian Civil War that has been witness to the death of 80,000 people. Even so, Syria has been eclipsed by the War in Mali, the hostages taken in Algeria, the arival of Patriot Missiles in Turkey and now deployed along the Turkish - Syrian border, the introduction of new standards introduced by Kind Abdullah in Jordan, the boycott by the Islamic Brotherhood in the Hashemite Kingdon in Jordans elections, the election results in Israel, the testimony of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on the Benghazi Consulate murder of four Americans, including Ambassador Stevens, American assistance in transporting French and Ecowas Troops to Mali, Germanys logistical support to that same effort, and so much more. In preparation for Dr. Alomaris attending the microphone at 11 a.m., Hezi Aris will catch us up on the events that have occured in anticipation of Dr. Alomaris analysis of the same.
